Why I chose this ending

(this is continued from the blog post on the 'lady or the tiger' story)
I chose this ending because I thought it was most suitable to describe a lady's feelings about her jealousy against her love for a man. This also happens in real life. Most people only care about their own feelings, about how she hates a person and to prevent wonderful miracles to happen to that person. They do not care about others, how they view the outcome of certain things, because their mind is only clouded around his/ her own thoughts. Being the daughter of a semi barbaric king, the ending of the story should not come as a surprise. After all, if her life revolves around her father, it is clear that she would resemble him very much. Like father like daughter.
Also, I hoped to continue keeping the readers in suspense, therefore I only revealed what the princess chose for her man at the very end. I believe that this way, the readers will be captivated and therefore continue reading to the end.
I think that the man was not very intelligent, so I gave him his 'punishment' for his stupidity by sentencing him to his painful death.
In conclusion, I feel that we should take this opportunity to learn from him- choose your girl wisely, because if you don't, there is only you yourself to blame when something terrible happens.
